The long awaited 2 CD comp called "At The End of the Rope" is now available from CHONDRITIC SOUND. It's a very good release featuring power electronics and harsh noise focused on sexual asphyxiation. It features an exclusive DEATHPILE track that was recorded just before "G.R." In my opinion it was probably one of the best "songs" DEATHPILE ever did. IMPORTANT NOTE: The track listing on the first few tray cards that were sent out were wrong - the DEATHPILE track is actually #10. The subsequent copies of the CD will have the correct track list. Thanks to Grey for releasing the comp.
L-White will soon be releasing a multiple band split called ALLIANCE - United in Death (CD lim. 500 / special package). It is a "new power electronics and noise compilation with contributions by following bands: DEATHPILE (USA), CONTROL (USA), ATRAX MORGUE (IT), HENTAI (DK)." I think there are a couple more bands that will be on it as well. The two DEATHPILE tracks were recorded live in 2003. This release will probably be the last appearance of DEATHPILE on CD. I think I would like to keep the rest of my out of print DP material in the vault unless an offer comes along I can't refuse.
Please note my contract e-mail has changed. It is now malsonus AT yahoo DOT com. I will be phasing out the old address over the next few weeks so please update your address book.

March 28th was the debut ANGEL OF DECAY live performance in downtown Philadelphia. It was a small show but the reception was very good. The performances by David E. Williams and DJ Wrong were also excellent. Thanks to GERM BOOKS for asking me to perform.
The Urge Within - Rage CDR is out of stock. I will attempt to get more ASAP.
To be included on the malsonus.com e-mail list please send an e-mail here with "mailing list" in the subject line.
It occured to me the other day that I've been putting off an update for a long time. I think the idea of writing a review of the final DEATHPILE performance has been making me procrastinate. I hate writing with a passion. So, as it's been two months since that show I just posted some photos here. If anyone that attended feels like submitting a review or any additional photos please drop me an e-mail. SLOGUN has some nice photos of the event on his web page here (no DP though).
There are many new projects being worked on and discussed right now. These include DEATHPILE related releases (of old, rare and/or live material) and new ANGEL OF DECAY material. I have learned not to announce anything ahead of time so please just keep checking back for updates.
So, it's over and done with. The show was a little maddening due to a late start and the fact we had to cut our set down but overall I'd call it a success. My appologies again to Mikko for GRUNT's set getting cut off. We switched places at the last minute as time was running out and the police were going to break up the show at midnight. I appreciate the fact that Mikko was such a gentleman about the whole mess.
When I have time in the next couple of weeks I will write a show review and post some other photos. The photo here was taken by Jennifer Bates. Thanks to her and also to SQ for video taping the performance.
Also thanks are due to the following: Chris/SICKNESS for helping run our sound and the last second-vocal effects, Peter Lee for putting it on, John/SLOGUN, Dominick/PRURIENT, Mark, Peter and Ed from BLOODYMINDED, Keith / TAINT, Tom / CONTROL, Xavier and Stephen from France, Shane Crowe (and friend) from Ireland (I hope it was worth the trip), Peter / L. White, and everyone else I met and talked to at the show.
